Spam is certainly one of the scourges of email communication. Fortunately, it’s usually not that difficult to spot such junk when it hits your mailbox — and in most cases an advanced spam filter will intercept most of this garbage and treat as, well, garbage, so that it never reaches your inbox. However, junk mail occasionally circumvents even the toughest spam filters. If you have a Go Daddy email account, you can use the Email Control Center to manage your spam settings. Here’s how to do it:
- Log in to your Go Daddy Account Manager.
- In the My Products section, click Email.
- In the Email Account list, click Manage Account next to the account you want to change. The Email Control Center opens.
- In the Actions section, click Edit Email Address. The Edit Mailbox window opens.
- Go to the Advanced tab.
Recommended: To enable spam filtering, select Enable spam filtering for this account. If you don’t select this option, all email messages will deliver to your Inbox, including potential spam.
- From the Behavior menu, select one of the following:
- Recommended: Deliver to Bulk Mail Folder — Suspected spam delivers to your Bulk Mail folder. You can review it at your convenience.
- Mark Subject With [SPAM] — Suspected spam delivers to your Inbox with [SPAM] in the subject line.
- Restricted Mode — All mail delivers to your Bulk Mail folder, unless the sender is on your Allowed List.
- Click OK.
